Yes. MD Konstruction charges a MK300,000 quotation deposit to prepare a quotation for your building project. If you award the project to MDK, the full deposit is refunded by being credited towards your initial project payment.
Yes. We can organize construction into phases, allowing you to plan and fund your project in stages. The specific phases and their scope will depend on your house design and project requirements.
MD Konstruction is based in Lilongwe, Malawi, and undertakes construction projects throughout Malawi, subject to project requirements and operational arrangements.
Architectural plans are important for preparing an accurate construction quotation. If you already have approved or finalized plans, you can share them with us for assessment. If you do not yet have plans, contact us to discuss the appropriate next steps.
The process generally begins with discussing your requirements and reviewing your building plans. We then assess the project by visiting your site, producing a report from the visit, arranging for an onboarding meeting, preparing a quotation, agreeing on the scope of work and payment arrangements, and organizing construction once the necessary preparations have been completed.
The cost depends on factors such as the size and design of the house, materials, labour, site conditions, transportation and the finishing level. MDK prepares phase-specific quotations to help clients understand the anticipated costs before construction begins. Upon request, MDK can produce batched quotations.
MDK aims to keep clients informed about project progress through agreed communication arrangements and progress updates. The reporting arrangements can be discussed and agreed upon at the beginning of your project, particularly if you are building from abroad. FYI most clients prefer using WhatsApp groups.
Changes may be possible, but they can affect the cost, materials required and construction schedule. We recommend discussing proposed changes with MDK before the work is carried out so that the implications can be assessed and agreed upon.
Clients’ relatives are always welcome to visit the project site at any time. We kindly request that you notify us in advance of their visit. This ensures site security and allows our team to dedicate time to hosting you properly.
